Hosts

With the aim of generating direct and transparent business relationships between coffee producers and roasters, coffee producers will have the chance to host international attendees during the event. This provides a great opportunity for producers to highlight their work, Guatemala as an origin, and allow attendees to go on farm tours, cup coffees, visit nurseries, and share knowledge with hosts.

Dinamica was founded in 2012 by a group of Guatemalan families who have given a lifetime to the coffee industry. Three generations of farming and over 40 years of experienced exporters were combined to build the company. Today, they’re a small group of young talented, & passionate professionals in love with coffee.

In addition to being extremely aware of the environment and the effects they can have on it, El Platanillo is the world’s first certified coffee farm in the world to be certified as Climate Friendly by the RFA.

With 125 years of coffee farming experience, the Falla family is one of the oldest coffee farming families in Antigua. With the objective of producing unique and high-quality coffees from the eight different coffee regions of Guatemala, San Miguel Coffees focuses in running their operations in a sustainable way that will continue to grow the farm and improve the community.

Truth Trading Company was founded by two specialty coffee producers in Guatemala, with the main goal of helping both the producer and the buyer obtain better pricing through 100% transparent negotiations.

Vides 58 is a company with a profound sense of tradition with a knack for innovation, precision, and quality. They believe that business relationships with roasters and importers are based on consistent quality and passion for coffee.
They believe in transparency and traceability, where growers, importers, and roasters benefit from value-added products and long-term relationships.

Guatemala: A paradise for coffee growing

Hosting events like the Producer & Roaster Forum will provide added value to Guatemala’s coffee producers and will give roasters from across the globe a more complete overview of what Guatemala has to offer as an origin country. Moreover, it will generate a more transparent and direct relationship between buyers and producers.

The World’s First Coffee Blockchain Auction

Yave and Guatemalan Coffees will also be hosting an online blockchain auction for 20 lots. This will include honey, washed, and natural processed coffees. All Guatemalan producers will be invited to participate and submit a lot free of charge, and the final lots will be narrowed down after multiple rounds of cupping with both national and finally international judges  from where the best 25 coffees will be selected to go up to the platform, with an opening price of $ 4.25 per pound

The auction will take place at 8:00 AM(Central  American Time) on the 24th of May.

Roasters unable to attend the Producer & Roaster Forum in person can register online in order to receive cupping kits and bid virtually. Similarly, roasters attending the forum are not obliged to bid.
