In March 2023, Producer & Roaster Forum will return to El Salvador, where we held the first-ever PRF event back in 2016.
PRF El Salvador will take place from March 16-17, 2023 at the Salamanca Exhibition Center in San Salvador. Next year’s event will be the sixth iteration of PRF, welcoming local producers as well as international roasters, traders, and more.
The aim for this event is to champion El Salvador as a knowledge center for specialty coffee within Central America. It will serve as a platform for coffee professionals to share knowledge and expertise, as well as ensuring producers have an active, leading role in these important discussions.
Furthermore, at the event, attendees will be able to attend a range of keynote speeches and panel discussions that discuss some of the most important topics in today’s coffee industry.
In line with this, we’re excited to announce that applications are now open for speakers at PRF El Salvador. Read on to learn more about the responsibilities of being a speaker and how you can apply.

Who should apply to become a speaker?
We’re looking for leading coffee experts and professionals from all areas of the coffee supply chain who want to share their knowledge and expertise in new ways.
First and foremost, we encourage people who work in both coffee production and roasting to apply, but all stakeholders from across the coffee industry are welcome.
Essentially, if you’re a coffee professional in any capacity, you’re eligible to apply to become a speaker at PRF El Salvador. We do, however, request that you meet the following criteria:
- At least five years of experience in your respective field
- Some degree of experience in public speaking
- The ability to compile a comprehensive 20-minute presentation
Applications are open to both English and Spanish-speaking coffee professionals – PRF will provide simultaneous translations for attendees.
Most importantly, we’re looking for speakers who can offer something beneficial or educational to attendees. In your case, that might be a passion for quality, insight into industry trends, or the willingness to create a more sustainable coffee supply chain.
Alongside this, we also want the event to offer a range of valuable speeches informed by industry figures in El Salvador. As such, we are specifically encouraging Salvadoran coffee professionals to apply to speak.
In the past, speech and panel topics have included:
- Emerging markets & origins
- The economics of coffee
- Coffee consumption trends
- Sustainability, transparency & traceability
- Coffee & the environment
- Gender equity in coffee
- Coffee production & data collection
- Coffee quality control
Finally, it’s important to note that not all speakers are required to deliver speeches or lectures. PRF is also a space for panel discussions, micro-lectures, and hands-on workshops, all of which are welcome.
