We’re delighted to announce that Producer & Roaster Forum (PRF) has confirmed a three-year multi-event Diamond Sponsorship with Mayorga Coffee. This unprecedented deal is the largest of its kind for coffee industry events held in producing countries.
Going forward, Mayorga Coffee will be the Diamond Sponsor for the next six PRF events (two per year). This will include PRF El Salvador, which will take place on March 16 & 17, 2023.
This sponsorship will support the strategic growth of PRF, and help us to continue to host world-leading coffee industry events at origin. Read on to learn more about the sponsorship and what this means for PRF.

PRF & Mayorga Coffee
PRF has worked closely with Mayorga Coffee for a number of years, and the company has sponsored the last three events: Guatemala in 2019, Honduras in 2021, and Colombia in 2022.
As a world-leading coffee industry event held at origin, PRF partners with brands whose vision aligns with our overall strategy.
We are confident that by continuing to work with Mayorga in the long term, we will be better equipped than ever to support coffee farmers and drive green coffee sales. Alongside this, PRF will continue to serve as a platform for producers to lead key industry discussions – rather than being passive recipients.
We’re also excited that this sponsorship has been confirmed ahead of PRF’s return to El Salvador. The first PRF event was held here in 2016, in a dry mill in a town called Los Naranjos.
Part of the reason that we feel this sponsorship will be successful is because PRF’s aims are closely aligned with Mayorga Coffee. We have a joint focus on championing Spanish-speaking Latin America as a knowledge center within the industry – something that CEO Martin Mayorga has long since been vocal about.
Martin has spoken at past PRF events on the real issues in the coffee industry, and frequently talks on other platforms about controversial topics that are often left unaddressed. He’s known for contributing to discussions that other business leaders in the coffee sector often shy away from, and is unafraid to challenge industry norms.

Driving impact
Henry Wilson, founder of Producer & Roaster Forum and Perfect Daily Grind, says that it’s a privilege to work with a brand like Mayorga Coffee.
“I enjoy working with Martin, as he constantly pushes us to be better, to do more for PRF, and to keep a focus on championing the work of coffee professionals in producing countries,” Henry says.
“It’s great to have a roaster support PRF with a significant investment. It reflects Mayorga Coffee’s focus on highlighting leadership and knowledge in coffee-growing communities across Spanish-speaking Latin America,” Henry adds. “A long-term sponsorship like this means we’re able to build a long-term plan for scaling the impact of PRF.”
For example, as part of the sponsorship, PRF will also ensure continued investment into the Beca Mayorga, the event’s producer scholarship program.
At PRF Colombia, Mayorga Coffee sponsored the tickets for around 500 producers that met certain criteria. Candidates that were prioritized included smallholder farmers, young coffee producers, and women in the coffee sector.
We also expect that by working more closely with Mayorga Coffee in the years ahead, the program will be able to scale and grow to reach more professionals in coffee-producing communities.
For Martin, PRF presents an unmissable opportunity to address socioeconomic issues at origin, including poverty, the lack of education, and exploitation.
“The coffee industry generally talks about engagement but in practice, the supply chain is more segmented than ever,” he explains. “Small roasters are uneducated about producers’ realities and small producers are still being exploited.”
As such, he says that the only way forward is to highlight the realities of the supply chain by encouraging dialogue between actors and driving action in coffee-producing countries.
“In my opinion, PRF is the best event for this engagement – especially because it takes place in coffee-producing countries,” he adds.

PRF El Salvador will be hosted at the Salamanca Exhibition Center in San Salvador, El Salvador on March 16 & 17 2023. This venue is the largest exhibition & convention center in the city, and we’re incredibly excited to be sharing it with PRF attendees.
We’re delighted to confirm that Mayorga Coffee will be the Diamond Sponsor for this event, as mentioned above. We also look forward to welcoming thousands of Central American attendees, international coffee roasters, and other industry leaders who wish to explore the market and build long-lasting commercial relationships.
