Workshops and cupping sessions at PRF El Salvador

PRF workshops cover a range of topics, appealing to coffee producers, roasters, baristas, and traders.

With PRF El Salvador just a few months away, we thought we’d remind you about some of the most exciting events that will take place at the forum: workshops and cupping sessions.

PRF workshops cover a comprehensive array of topics and are hosted by renowned coffee professionals. Likewise, our cupping sessions are run by some of Central America’s finest coffee producers and traders, showcasing the very best that the region’s coffee industry has to offer.

We’ll be announcing our full lineup of workshops and cuppings later, but there’s one important thing to remember: both are only open to those who pre-register to attend

Let’s take a look at what you need to know before signing up, and what you can expect from workshops and cuppings at PRF El Salvador.

PRF workshops cover a range of topics, appealing to coffee producers, roasters, baristas, and traders.

What kind of workshops can you expect?

Alongside lectures, speeches, panel discussions, and exhibits, PRF events also host educational workshops that benefit all coffee professionals who attend.

Our venue for PRF El Salvador, the Salamanca Exhibition Center, has a number of exclusive spaces which we will be using to create a dedicated setup for each of our workshops.

In previous years, workshops have covered a range of topics, appealing to producers, roasters, baristas, and traders.

Generally, attendees can expect to attend two types of workshops: interactive workshops and mini-lectures, both of which can last up to 35 minutes.

During interactive workshops, attendees will participate in hands-on activities, while mini-lectures provide an opportunity to engage with the speaker in a more intimate setting.

We have not finalized our roster of workshops at this moment in time, but we do have a few that have already confirmed. More will be coming in the next few weeks, but PRF El Salvador will feature three workshops held by:

  • StoneX
  • MAV Coffee
  • Ryan LeRoux and Shaun Aupais from South Africa
Coffee cupping sessions will give roasters and coffee buyers the opportunity to sample some of the finest specialty coffees grown in Central America.

What about cupping sessions?

PRF is all about giving coffee professionals a platform to drive green coffee sales. This is why we’ve continued to host cupping sessions at recent PRF events.

Cupping sessions will give attendees the opportunity to sample some of the finest specialty coffees grown in Central America.

These cupping sessions also double as networking opportunities. For roaster attendees, it’s a perfect place to meet a new sourcing partner, while for producers, it can be a great opportunity to showcase your coffee.

Much like our workshops, we’re in the process of finalizing the cupping sessions for PRF El Salvador, so keep an eye on our website.

However, we do already have three cupping sessions confirmed, with:

  • Ally Coffee
  • MAV Coffee (El Salvador)
  • San Jose Specialty (Guatemala)

It’s important to note that all workshops and cupping sessions will have a limited number of spaces. All interested attendees will be required to pre-register well ahead of PRF El Salvador – so please keep an eye out.

Remember that pre-registration spaces are first come, first serve – so subscribe to our newsletter to make sure you don’t miss out.

These sessions are a highlight of the PRF experience, and they are an excellent opportunity to learn more about the wider coffee industry.
